Does Staging Inventory Really Make a Difference?

As a Morris County, NJ Home Stager many of my jobs come from Realtors I work with on a regular basis staging their listings. I decided to write this post after working with a Realtor’s client who wasNJ Home Staging, Morris County NJ Home Stager skeptical about renting staging inventory.

Before our consultation they purchased four pictures from Bed, Bath & Beyond totaling $160.00. Imagine their surprise when I told them the price of renting our staging inventory for one month (art, centerpieces, lighting, towels, candles, headboards, decorative pillows, bedding, throws, floral arrangements, bathroom and kitchen vignettes, ect.) would have cost less than the four paintings they purchased!

Yes, you can shop for home accessories yourself or use our shopping services (recommended for Redesign clients)…..but why would you when you can rent beautiful, coordinating inventory at a fraction of the cost. Moreover, we take all the guess work out and show up at your home with a trailer filled with thousands of dollars’ worth of inventory that is meticulously chosen to showcase and enhance your home beautifully, in person and online.

Because most of us are visual creatures, it’s best to show, not tell you how renting updated accessories impacts the overall look of a home, transforming it to showroom ready.

Example 1: This master bedroom was large, had great lighting, but the window treatments dated the home. We staged it using what the client already had (lounge chair, table, bed), and took down the curtains. For this room my clients rented bedding, pillows, art, a large plant and headboard. This avoided renting any furniture and the transformation speaks for itself…Kristine Ginsberg Morris County NJ Home Stager, NJ Home Staging Tips, NJ Professional MLS PhotographerExample 2: This bath was nice, but we want buyers to envision themselves taking a hot soak after a long day’s work. We brought in candles, bath accessories and plants which warmed up the hardscape and gave it a crisp, clean look…Morris County NJ Home Staging, NJ Home Stager, Staging Morris County NJ, NJ Home Staging TipsExample 3: The window treatments dated this living room and were very taste specific. We recommended the sellers take them down and showcase the windows. Then we accessorized using decorative pillows, a luxurious throw, art and plants which neutralized the space…Morris County NJ HOme Stager, NJ Home Staging, Union County Staging Tips, NJ MLS Professional PhotographerExample 4: This sun room was a great selling feature, but the blinds and ceiling fan dated and detracted from the overall look. We used stored wicker furniture from the basement and the rest is staging inventory we brought in to update this room.Morris County Home Staging, NJ Home Stager, Union Bergen County Home StagingTo see more transformations please view our Home Staging Portfolio page.
