Tips on Indoor & Outdoor Holiday Staging

I love the holidays because as a NJ home stager/interior designer, I love to decorate……..anything! It puts me and my family in the holiday spirit. However, many people feel overwhelmed and see it as another job. I get it; we all have so much to do and so little time. However, I hope that in sharing some tips, it will inspire you to create your own holiday crafts that are easy, inexpensive and fun…..yes, fun! If you have children, ask them for help and make it a family tradition. This year’s inspiration came from a driftwood tree I found at HomeGoods

Whether you choose to create one beautifully appointed wreath, or deck the halls and everything in between, my hope is to give you ideas, re-purposing what you already have along with some objects from your local park, garden center and/or craft store.

If cost is an issue (and regardless, who doesn’t love to save money), you can get a Pottery Barn look without the price tag. You just need to get creative. All of these holiday crafts can made with items you already have.

To change it up, every year I come up with a new theme. You can do a fruit theme, coastal, nature, kids, bold modern colors like teal and lime green, nutcracker, feathers, traditional, Victorian  –  anything your imagination can dream up! This year I went traditional using red and white. A vintage sled became the inspiration, thus the focal point…
